The EDC is still up for grabs as well. With that in mind, there’s a lot of opportunity for teams to earn big wins.
Here are some teams that had particularly good weeks:
West Fargo
The Packers have been hot for a while now and earned two really good wins last week, beating the then-No. 2 and No. 4 teams in the EDC. It was revenge week for West Fargo as the Packers blew out Devils Lake, 69-38 Tuesday before wrapping up the week with a dominant showing against West Fargo Sheyenne, avenging an early-season loss to the Mustangs.
Jamestown
The Bluejays just keep crushing opponents. The impressive thing about it is that it doesn’t seem to matter where the opponents are in the standings, Jamestown destroys every team seemingly equally. It was that kind of week again last week for the top-ranked Bluejays as Jamestown earned two more dominant wins, beating Bismarck 77-54 before blowing the doors off Minot, 90-61.
Williston
It hasn’t been a great year for the Coyotes as they’ve won just four games overall. But at this point in the season, an upset win over one of the elite teams in the state can make up for a lot. And that’s what happened as Williston beat Mandan 67-65, getting 20 points and five assists from Reed Hansen.
