Jonas Bennett, 6’2, G/F, 2019, Odessa
A player who has proved himself on the football field and can also contribute strong minutes on the court. Bennett is a solid team leader and floor runner. He can handle the ball in transition and is good at selling fakes and taking the ball inside. He knows how to use his speed and can force stops and score.
Donald Edmondson, 6’3, G, 2019, Truman
Edmondson is one of the KC area’s most underrated outside shooters and is putting together a strong senior season for the Patriots. Coming off a terrific summer running with the KC Pacers, Edmondson has shown good size for a guard at 6’3, the ability to handle pressure in the backcourt and a willingness to take big shots.
Decker Hanson, 6’0, G, 2019, Kearney
A solid player who can play off the ball and score timely buckets. Hanson plays well in a system and can move off screens and stop and pop. He has shown the ability to knock down shots in open space across the floor. He can find his shot from deep and is confident at times drive in search of a basket.
Jordan Jermain, 5’11, PG, 2019, Raymore-Peculiar
A guard who makes smart plays with the ball and is a confident passer. Jermain is observant at the top and can find a bucket or an open teammate quickly. Jermain is also good 3-point shooter and he gets his shot off well against taller opponents, sometimes by use of his step-back fade. A guard who can handle the ball well and finish when it counts.
Amari Willians, 6’4, G, 2019, Raytown South
Blessed with terrific size, athleticism and physical tools, Williams has shown a smooth, left handed shooting stroke from the perimeter and has established himself as a knock down shooter from distance this season. He can handle the ball a little, operate out of the high post and isn’t afraid of shooting the mid-range shot.
Sha’Marr Wright-Thompson, 6’1, G, 2019, Hogan Prep
A true guard who defend the ball and can handle his own in one-on-one situations. Wright is at his best when getting to the basket as he can use his speed and athleticism to his advantage. He slashes quickly and has a misdirection and shiftiness that can catch defenders off guard. His left-handed jumper is also something defenders have to look out for.
