Nico Mannion (Pinnacle 2019)
I don’t think it is any surprise that Nico Mannion is at the top of this list. Not only is he the best guard in AZ, but he is one of the best guards in the country. Mannion is already being projected to be a lottery pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Mannion is leading the #1 ranked Pinnacle with 30.1 points per game.
D’Maurian Williams (Westview 2019)
One of the top unsigned seniors is still proving that he is one of the best players in AZ, let alone 6A. Williams is currently averaging 21.9 points per game, which lands him ranked 2nd in scoring behind Pinnacle’s Nico Mannion.
Trent Brown (Pinnacle 2019)
Speaking of Pinnacle, here is another great guard from that powerhouse program. Brown has had to step up in a big way with the loss of Jordan Mains and he has certainly been up to the challenge. Brown is currently averaging 18.1 points per game and has one of the best 3 point shots in AZ.
Ty Ty Washington (Cesar Chavez 2021)
Washington has to be one of the best scorers in 6A, maybe in the entire state. I was not able to find an official scoring average online but I have seen him play this season enough to land him on this list. He is a scoring machine and it is very hard to slow that machine down. I’ve seen one scout say he has a Carmelo Anthony type of game and I think that is the perfect comparison for him, being able to score in the mid-range at will and get the shot he wants at any time.
Alem Huseinovic (Chaparral 2020)
Chaparral has a very good guard who is averaging 14.9 points per game. I feel like Chaparral wasn’t on enough people’s radar to begin the season, but behind the play of Huseinovic, they are currently ranked 2nd in 6A.
Khalid Price (Mountain Pointe 2019)
Khalid Price is one of the smartest guards in the entire state. He is a guard who will take care of the ball, get your offense going, and make the right passes. Although he does have great passing ability, he does have the skill set to score the ball as well…averaging 13.7 points per game.
