Markus Nastase – Clover HS
Nastase was a pleasant surprise since we had never seen him play until today. Nastase was spot on for the Blue Eagles with 19 points. Nastase a spot up shooter connected on 4 three pointers. Nastase 6’2 needed time and space to set his feet with a great shot release.
Malik Proctor – York Comprehensive HS
Proctor 5’7 really looks to score the ball whenever he’s given the chance. Proctor led the Cougars to a victory by scoring 19 points while hitting 4 three pointers Proctor needs to at times slow down with the basketball and sit back and study the defense. Proctor likes to play extremely fast. Proctor is averaging 12.1 ppg this season while dishing out 4.3 assists.
Mason Grigg – Northwestern HS (Rock Hill) (pictured on front)
Grigg is a very deceptive athlete for being just 6’1 Grigg finished a couple dunks in transition today for the Trojans. Grigg connected on few three pointers and showed to be in the right position almost every time to receive the ball. Grigg has some serious bounce. Grigg is averaging 13.1 ppg this season for the Trojans.
Keyan Mims – Fort Mill HS
Mims is a hybrid on the floor for the Yellow Jackets. Mims 6’5 played last season at York Prep before coming over this summer. Mims has the ability to play inside-out with his athleticism. Mims is quick off the floor and has a ability to challenge shots on the defensive end. Mims is averaging 11 ppg this season for the Yellow Jackets (18-2).
Shaun Garrison – Blacksburg HS
Garrison 6’4 did most of his damage around the basket for the Wildcats. Garrison was active all day long on the glass and running down players in transition to block 2 shots today. Garrison at times today brought the ball up the floor and showed his versatility. Garrison has a rangy body and plays with good bounce. Garrison scored 18 points in the victory over McCormick HS.
