22) Ponchatoula (18-5)

Ponchatoula is definitely a team that has been up and down this season. They have three wins over teams that are ranked ahead of them in the top 25, and going undefeated in the Walker tournament is a great accomplishment. However, they also have some losses that are tough to overlook. They have a really talented backcourt between senior Connor Osbourne and sophmore Ryan Elzy, and 2020 LSU football commit TJ Finley stands 6’8 with a versatile offensive game.

23) Wossman (22-6)

I will give Wossman a lot of credit, they have won all of the the games that they were supposed to win. The bad news is that they’ve also lost all of the games that they were supposed to lose. They are 0-6 against teams that are in the Power Rankings Top 25, and they are 16-0 against teams outside the Top 25. To me, that definitely sounds like a team that deserves to be towards the bottom of the Top 25.

24) Lafayette Christian (20-4)

It looks like the Knights of LCA are starting to peak, just at the right time. After dropping a few games that they probably shouldn’t have lost earlier in the year, LCA got their best win of the year this week, over Bonnabel. They were as competitive as any team in the Louisiana side of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Prep Classic, and only lost by one point to Landry-Walker in the championship. A lot of credit has to be given to first year head coach Erroll Rodgers for the improvements that the team has made throughout the season.

25) Live Oak (16-7)

Live Oak is certainly another program that has been up and down throughout the season. They started out the season winning their first 11 games straight, but since that time they have only gone 5-7. Now I expect with the amount of talented seniors that they have on the squad that they will work their way out of this slump, but the change is going to have to happen quick. And playing in their 4-5A district, with the likes of Scotlandville and Walker, it isn’t like their challenges are going to be slowing down any time soon.

Ville Platte (19-1)

Red River (25-3)
