Overview:
The post positions in 2020 are a little rough. However, in the Center spots, we do have some top end talent which is huge. Mabor Majak and Kiyron Powell are both DI talents and have offers already in hand.
Where things fall off a little bit is that next tier that could jump into the DI realm. There aren’t guys that are on the cusp right now and we won’t really know on guys until the summer. It’s isn’t at all out of the possible but the next tier of Nick Hittle, Cleevas Craig, and Noah Hupmann are the closest but all three are still developing and working on their bodies. Things do usually take longer for big men.
Outside of the top-end guys, we do have some guys that have emerged as solid players including Matthew Munoz, Nick Williams, and Gunnar Vannatta. Those three could really be in line to jump up the next time around.
There is a ton of legit size in this group with at least two players over 6’10 and eight guys over 6’8 and another four at around 6’7 so colleges should at the small school level should be able to find legit players.
New Additions:
As far as new additions, we have three new faces. They are Matthew Munoz, Caleb Bunch, and Jace Stoops. Munoz is the highest rated of those guys at #10 at the position. He’s a lean forward that can really move and rebound as well as finish around the rim. Interesting player if he can show the ability to shoot because the body says he can stretch the floor.
Stock Risers:
As far as movers and groovers, we have seen a few guys move up a bit. Most notably is Noah Hupmann. The growing post player have transitioned his game to the high school level and kept the production up. He’s a project still as his body is rail thin, but he’s a guy that has been producing triple-doubles. Also, Cleevas Craig and Nick Williams made big jumps this time around.
