Santa’s Unclaimed Presents: 2019s Still Available
While it is December, some of Arizona’s top 2019 prospects are still available. Below are some of the top under-rated prospects still available that could be a diamond in the rough for the right program.
Josh Baker 6’2 PG/SG 2019 McClintock
Baker is one of the top guards in the state. He can score the ball as effectively as anyone. He shoots the basketball with a lot of confidence and consistency. Further, he has a high basketball IQ and can make his teammates better. Baker has decent size for a guard as well.
Khalid Price 5’10 PG 2019 Mountain Pointe
Price has been one of the top on-ball defenders in the state for the past couple of years. Further, he has demonstrated that he is a fundamentally sound guard who can create well for others. Price is tough and not afraid to compete with anyone. Moreover, he is scoring the basketball at a higher level while continuing to shoot it with consistency from deep.
KJ Patrick 6’0 PG 2019 Willow Canyon
There are a lot of prospects who claim they love basketball but really love the identity of being a basketball player. Patrick is not one of those guys. He truly loves basketball and is a workhorse. In addition to being a constant threat who can score the basketball in an array of ways, he has demonstrated that he is one of the most coachable players in the state. While playing with Willow, he is responsible for being a primary playmaker. While with Factory, his club basketball team, he took on more of a role player role and flourished in it. He does whatever is asked of him in order to help his team win.
Emad Elniel 6’5 SF 2019 Independence
Elniel is the biggest gem on this list. If Elniel ends up at a JUCO, he will be an NCAA Division-I prospect after a year or two. He is a high academic wing who can score the basketball in an array of ways. Further, he does everything he can to help his team win. In addition to being a good basketball player and a high academic kid, he has the intangibles. He is long and athletic as well as well-built. Elniel will be a solid prospect at the next level.
Jake Benci 6’1 SG 2019 Cactus Shadows
Benci is one of the biggest reasons that Cactus Shadows has had the type of start that they have had this season. He is the real deal and has scored the basketball as effectively from deep as any prospect in the state. In addition to being a knockdown shooter, Benci is fundamentally sound and strong. He can play the 1 or 2 at the next level.
