A versatile 6’2 guard, Lincoln can shoot the 3, handles the ball well and sees the floor well. Defensively, he brings versatility and the ability to guard a point, shooting guard or a wing. He likes to get his teammates involved and plays with intensity.
He spent the offseason playing for the Lawrence Thunder and coach Chris Pipe,r who won a national championship at KU.
“Playing for Chris helped me to take on a bigger scoring role on a team and built up some toughness defensively,” Lincoln said. “I worked on ball handling, finishing and shooting in the mornings and at night everyday.”
Lincoln says expectations are high this season for Free State, who has a lot of depth, size and athleticism.
“We have talented guys and we’ll be tough defensively and in transition,” Lincoln says.
Lincoln said his step dad has had the biggest influence on his basketball career to date.
“My step dad has always pushed me to get better and helps me work on my game,” Linclon said.
A fan of former Duke standout Grayson Allen, Lincoln says he has tried to take the intensity of the NBA guard and make it his own.
“He can score at any level and plays with heart,” Lincoln said. “I try to have the same passion as him when it comes to wanting to win.”
