He is currently ranked as the #164 prospect in the class of 2019, but he is rising up the list quickly. Williamson is a 6’6″ SF/PF/C from Walled Lake Western. His game projects to a big wing at the next level.
Williamson has put his skill set on display early in the high school season. He’s super athletic, but better yet, knows how to use his athleticism. He uses it to play above his opponent and to create scoring opportunities. Williamson flat out gets to the rim. He’s aggressive with the ball and plays through contact. Williamson uses a quick first step and good body control to blow by his defender. He’s an excellent finisher at the rim. Williamson is a multilevel scorer who can fill it up with a jumper as well. He has been difficult, if not impossible, to stop on the offensive end so far this season.
Cam Williamson knows that a basketball player is continuously developing their game. He prepared himself physically for this season. Williamson ran hills and worked out multiple times a day so he could physically dominate his opponents. His is currently focused on becoming a better passer so that he can be a huge problem for the other team when he dishes off a dribble drive.
Williamson is ready to accomplish all of his goals. He wants to win a district championship and grab the attention of college coaches. Williamson wants his Walled Lake Western squad to grow as a unit and win a regional title by developing team chemistry. He has his sights set on playing college basketball. Williamson wants to earn his college degree and set himself up for future success.
Cam Williamson is sending a message to scouts and college coaches with his play so far this season. He brings a lot to the table for a college program. Williamson will provide a team at the next level with an energy player on both ends of the floor. A college program will get a versatile athlete with size. Williamson is a tough matchup at any level.
