The Basketball Interview: Noah Freidel
Wright State committed Noah Freidel is hoping to wrap up a fantastic South Dakota basketball career this winter with strong run. Freidel talked about his love of the game today with PHD.
Prep Hoops: What are your first memories of basketball becoming something you love and a big part of your life?
Noah Freidel: The first time I played in travel tournaments. We had 6 games every weekend and it got intense fast.
What is your pregame ritual on game day?
Noah Freidel: Hang out with the coolest athletic trainer in the state!! Thee Sean Duffy #goat
Who is your favorite college or professional player to watch? And to learn from (if different)?
Noah Freidel: I’m gonna have to go with MJ. For both of those.. he’s just the best ever
If you could play on any court in the world, what court would you pick and why?
Noah Freidel: Tea Area High Schools!! A lot of memories there that will last a lifetime!!
Who is your team’s biggest rival in basketball and what makes that rivalry special?
Noah Freidel: SFC! A lot of good buddies go there and it’s fun to whoop up on them every now and then!!
When you are off the floor, what is your favorite hobby to take part in?
Noah Freidel: Chilling with the lady and the bros!!
The best sports movie of all time is? And best non sports move?
Noah Freidel: Glory Road 100%! Gives me goosebumps every time… and non sports there is too many to choose from so I’ll throw you a top 5 Saving Private Ryan, Pearl Harbor, Batman – Dark Night, Mission impossibles, Shawshank Redemption
At this point in your basketball life what has been the most memorable moment, or moments?
Noah Freidel: Definitely winning state basketball!! Can’t even describe it.
How do players in your community support and relate to the young and up and coming players? In other words, what do you guys do to support the youth hoopers in your area?
Noah Freidel: We have developed a winning tradition in Tea. And we expect the younger kids to keep that tradition alive.
What is the best advice that you’ve received in life?
Noah Freidel: For basketball keep a level head, be coachable, and let the game come to you.. Life wise, never give up!
