Illinois Top 50 Prospects Regardless of Class: #21-#25
In September we released our rankings for the classes of 2019, 2020, and 2021. What if you took those classes and did an overall ranking regardless of class? This is what they would look like! This is our Illinois Top 50 Prospects Regardless of Class!
Today we unveil prospects #21 – #25!
#21 Ahron Ulis (Marian Catholic – 2020)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Ulis is the younger brother of NBA lead guard Tyler Ulis. The younger brother has more size than his brother along with some of the same playmaking qualities. Ahron has a good feel for the game at the point with his ability to get others involved. Handles well in space. Adequate scorer that keeps the defense off balance with what he is going to do.
#22 Seryee Lewis (Kenwood – 2020)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Lewis is one of the premier post prospects in the state heading into his junior season. He saw a huge leap in his game during the summer with Young & Reckless. Big time athlete at the four spot and he has learned how to harness that using it most effectively around the hoop. Rebounds well in traffic, throws down big slams, and has defensive potential with his quickness as well as timing swatting shots.
#23 Bryce Hopkins (Fenwick – 2021)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Hopkins emerged during the spring and summer with the Illinois Wolves. Thick bodied combo forward that can play both the three and four spots. Hopkins is a tough kid that rebounds well, defends the post, and emerged as an offensive threat. Can stretch the floor with his shooting and score with toughness in the paint.
#24 Troy D’Amico (Niles Notre Dame – 2021)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
D’Amico is a skilled combo forward with length. He handles it exceptionally well for his size. Plus shooter from the perimeter being able to hit both off the catch and pulling up from three point range. Sound passer. Better athlete than given credit as he showed at PrepHoops Top 250 throwing down some big dunks!
#25 Myles Baker (Whitney Young – 2019)
Last Year’s Rank: #33
Baker is one of the better two guards in the senior class. He had a consistent spring and summer with Team Rose on the travel team circuit. Smooth scoring guard that is a plus shooter especially from mid-range. Can also hit threes off the catch. Posted consistent numbers within the flow of the offense.
