2022 Standouts
Prep Hoops has already seen a good number of players in the 2022 Palmetto State Class. Prep Hoops likes to stay out in front of its competition with players coverage. Lets take a look at some 2022 players making a early impact on their high school teams this season.
Luke Bracey – Rock Hill HS (pictured on front)
Bracey has great footwork in the paint and has the ability to play inside-out on the floor. Bracey 6’5 recently scored 22 points to start the season vs Lewisville HS. Bracey plays beyond his years already at such a young age.
Julian Phillips – Blythewood HS
Phillips 6’5 has great length and instincts around the basket. Phillips can step-out on the perimeter and connect on shots. Phillips will be thrown into the mix right away for Head coach Zeke Washington and the Bengals this season.
Dylan Williams – Irmo HS
Williams saw action last season as 8th grader for Irmo HS and helped the team to the AAAAA State Championship Game. Williams has a fearless mindset on the floor and is quick end to end with the ball.
Savion Brown – Berea HS
Brown is off to a quick start for Berea HS this season. Brown 5’8 scored 17 and 16 points in games vs Eastside HS and Travelers Rest HS.
Kylic Horton – Clarendon Hall (Summerton)
Horton 6’5 averaged 14.9 ppg last season for the SCISA 1-A Saints. Horton a wing player has great length and isn’t a post player. Horton played wide receiver this fall for the Saints 8-man football team.
Isaiah Howell – Georgetown HS
Howell 6’5 is a run-jump-athlete. Howell has great length and can knockdown the perimeter jumper. Prep Hoops first saw Howell this fall at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo in Myrtle Beach. Howell will look to be the building block for the future of Bulldogs basketball.
EJ Huffman – Conway HS
Huffman is already wearing for Tigers player Jimmy Nichols jersey #42. Huffman saw good minutes in his first 3 games for the Tigers when they opened played and won the Georgetown Kraft Credit Union Tourney.
Carlton Terry Jr. – Conway HS
Terry Jr. is the son of the football coach for the Tigers. Terry Jr. is crafty with the ball and can knockdown open shots on the floor. Terry Jr. and Huffman will be building blocks for the Tigers program and Head Coach Mike Hopkins in the years to come.
Kieran Leviner – Marlboro County HS (Bennettsville)
Leviner knocked some three pointers in recent game Prep Hoops took in of the Bulldogs. Leviner is just one of the building blocks on this young Bulldogs squad.
Henry Evans – C.E. Murray HS (Greeleyville) (2023)
Evans is the exception here because he is just a 8th grader (2023). Prep Hoops has seen Evans play twice already on the young season and he scored 20 points in his second varsity game vs Philip Simmons.
This list of players is just a quick recap of SOME of the players in the 2022 class. This list by know means is the extent of the 2022 class.
