Tyler Cochran to Northern Illinois
Bolingbrook 2019 combo guard Tyler Cochran made his commitment early on Friday morning. He took his official visit to Northern Illinois this past weekend and a few days later pulled the trigger on his commitment to the Huskies. He told PHI why!
“Loved the coaches, the campus, the teammates were a really HUGE part. Just felt like the right decision.”
How does he see his game fitting in with his new team?
“I think I can contribute right away with my IQ. Being able to get up the floor and shoot the ball. Just being a good teammate through the good and bad. More good than bad though!”
What does he bring to the table as a prospect? Big and physical combo guard who plays best with the ball in his hands attacking downhill. Uses his physicality to score or draw contact inside. Consistently scores on and-1s. Big time rebounder for his position. Has potential as a perimeter shooter and just knows how to get stuff done!
Cochran joins fellow in-state commit Keenon Cole in the Huskies class. The Bolingbrook senior guard is the #21 overall prospect and #7 point guard in the 2019 class! He ran with Hoopers Basketball Club on the travel team circuit.
