Top 250 Camp : 2019 Top Performers
This weekend Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo took place at the Myrtle Beach Sports Center. The event was recently changed from the week before when Hurricane Florence hit the Carolinas. Lets take a look at some of the 2019 top performers in the event. Keep in mind the camp jerseys never arrived and were stuck on a delivery truck at Fed Ex in Florence, SC. Florence did it to us again first the hurricane and now the jerseys.The players were great sports and all the players will receive the jerseys now in the mail from Prep Hoops.
Dearon Tucker 6’10 – Legacy Early College (Greenville) (pictured on front)
Tucker is a new face to the Palmetto State. Tucker originally hails from the Lone Star State Texas. Tucker attended Universal Academy last season in Irving, TX. Tucker runs the floor very well and finishes around the cup. Tucker a power forward played on the Grassroots Circuit with Houston Hoops.
Shane McCravy 6’4 – Oceanside Collegiate (Mount Pleasant)
McCravy was constantly attacking the basket at will today. McCravy 6’4 exploded to the rim and got by defenders all day long. McCravy rebounds the ball very well on both sides of the floor. McCravy is just as impressive in the classroom with a 4.5 GPA. McCravy averaged 19.8 ppg last season for the Landsharks.
Isaiah Archie 5’11 – Oceanside Collegiate (Mount Pleasant)
Archie and McCravy will be a solid 1-2 punch this season for the Landsharks. Archie really elevated his game today with his play. Archie really got the ball to the basket and created for others today on the floor. Archie knocked down some nice mid-range jumpers while really playing the passing lanes on defense. Archie averaged 11.1 ppg for the Landsharks last season.
Donnell Bowens 5’11 – Lowcountry Leadership HS (Hollywood)
Bowens really came to play today at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo. Bowens really had everything clicking here today with his game. Bowens connected on shots from downtown while dishing out several good passes teammates. Bowens really made guys better with his play and court vision today. Bowens averaged 13 ppg last season for the small SCHSL 1-A school .
Darius Dawson 6’5 – West Florence HS
Dawson is a new player in the Palmetto State this coming season. Dawson 6’5 finished with both hands in the paint and around the cup. Dawson has a great work ethic and will from time to time alter shots on the defensive end of the floor. Dawson recently moved to West Florence HS after playing last season at Douglas HS in Box Elder, South Dakota. Dawson is a military kid and spent his FR/SO years in South Korea he told Prep Hoops.
Eric Washington 6’6 – Mauldin HS
Washington was a great late addition to the camp. Washington is a very bouncy and has great length. Washington runs the floor well and at times likes to have the ball in his hands in the open court. Washington never seems to take plays off while on the floor.
