Prep Hoops Top 250: Best Defenders
The Prep Hoops Top 250 was a very successful event! There was a lot of talent in the gym and the players were competing for their chance to stick out to a college coach. Here are the best defenders:
LaTrell Swan (Pinnacle) 2019 C:
Defense is the best part of Swan’s game. He turned in multiple games with 5+ blocks. LaTrell uses his size and length very well to swat away any shot in his area. He was the best defending big man of the event.
Keaton Rodgers (Sandra Day O’Connor) 2019 F:
Keaton brought a lot of energy on the defensive side of the ball. He was constantly in his defenders face and forced many turnovers. His leaping ability also allows him to make some pretty big blocks even when he is at the size disadvantage. He was the best defending wing of the event.
Alex Elam (Ironwood) 2021 G:
Alex did a tremendous job on defense today. He was smothering his defenders and brought a lot of hustle. If his assignment happened to get past him, Elam hustled to get back in front of his man. Alex was the top defending guard of the event.
