All-In Athletics Fall League Weeks 1 & 2 Recap
ALL IN High School Fall League – Recap Weeks 1 & 2
The ALL IN High School fall league kicked off the first 2 weeks at Maine East High School on September 9th and 16th. Week 1 saw a high game by Wesley Woods for 27 points while week 2 saw the seasons first 30-point game from the 76ers Simon Hart scoring 37. The Bulls started 2-0 led by 2019 Maine South guard Fillip Bulatovic at 16.5 ppg , and won 47-42 over the Heat led by 2019 Sullivan guard Joshua Scott averaging 16.5 ppg. The first two weeks saw over half its games decided by 7 points or less.
VARSITY HIGHLIGHTS: Week 1
Timberwolves 51 Hawks 49
Josef Wortman led the Hawks with 14 points but Uplift wing Patrick Memong paced the Timberwolves with 14 points and 3 rebounds while shooting 6-for-7 from the field for the win.
76ers 50 Knicks 43
Leading both halves, the 76ers iron man team of five players took down the Knicks with efforts of 13 points from Simon Hart and 12 points from Joe Margolis. 2020 Alcott wing Fernando Alvarez-May led the Knicks and all scorers with 17 points.
Trailblazers 56 Pistons 51
A late run by the Pistons wasn’t enough to overcome the Trailblazers first half lead and Wesley Woods 27 points. The Pistons were paced by Marco Shaw with 18 and Michael Hering scoring 15.
Warriors 72 Celtics 50
A monster second half by the Warriors outscoring the Celtics 43-12 gave them the win to overcome Matt Rosenberger’s game high 21 points for the Celtics. Four players scored double digits for the Warriors: Christian Armstrong 17, Jaylen Montgomery 16, Joshua Samker 15, and Jiovoni Garcia 10.
Bulls 47 Sullivan 42
The nightcap between Maine South (Bulls) and Sullivan (Heat) saw Maine South’s 5-point lead at half hold after a deadlocked second half of 16-all. 2019 guard Filip Bulatovic led all players with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Sullivan 2019 guard Joshua Scott scored 17.
FROSH/SOPH HIGHLIGHTS: Week 1
Grizzlies 61 Clippers 44
The Grizzlies had three players in double digits led by 2021 St. Ignatius guard Kyle McGovern’s 19 points, Connor Dalton’s 17 points, while Josh Berman pulled own 6 rebounds along with scoring 14 points.
Rockets 33 Nuggets 32
In a tight, defensive battle, the Nuggets Nathan Salgado led all scorers with 10 points.
Lakers 53 Mavericks 39
The Mavericks won the second half but it wasn’t enough to overcome a 17-point deficit at halftime. The Lakers Soham Sarkar topped all players with his 15 points and 6 rebounds.
VARSITY HIGHLIGHTS: Week 2
Pistons 87 Knicks 51
This one saw three players clear 20 points. The Pistons Shray Patel notched 26 while Ryan Jackson scored 20 and grabbed 8 reabounds along with Marco Shaws 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. The Knicks were led by Dominic Michi’s 22 points & 2020 Alcott wing Fernando Alvarez-May’s 11 rebounds.
76ers 90 Spurs 67
Simon Hart had the day’s high of 37 points while the Spurs Brennan Doneth scored 27 and 2024 point guard Payton Kamin drilled 23 points.
Timberwolves 49 Trailblazers 48
A tale of two halves saw the Timberwolves almost squander an 11-point lead at half, but they held on with Christian McLaughlin scoring 18. Wesley Woods was great again with 19 points & 8 rebounds.
Celtics 72 Heat 70
The Celtics had five players in double figures, led by Matt Rosenberger’s 18 points and 7 rebounds. The Heat saw three players score 16 for Sullivan High School in Paris Pope, Yoshua Jones, & Joshua Scott.
Bulls 81 Warriors 38
The Bulls big first half put the game away early. 2019 Maine South guard Essam Hamwi led all scorers with 14 for the Bulls. Lucas Castle and Joshua Samker scored 12 each for the Warriors.
FROSH/SOPH HIGHLIGHTS: Week 2
Mavericks 44 Clippers 40
The Mavs 4-point lead at half held with Matthew Georgoulis game high 19 points leading all scorers.
Grizzlies 57 Nuggets 26
A tough first half for the Nuggets saw them only lose the 2nd half by 6 points. The Nuggets Conner Dalton was big again leading all scorers with 19 points and Carson Cloud grabbed 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies.
Rockets 53 Wizards 43
Both teams shared the ball very well. Wizards 2023 wing Richard Barron led all scorers with 11 points.
Spurs 73 Lakers 69
Spurs were led by 2024 guard Payton Kamin’s 29 points & Nate Rob’s 20. The Lakers Will Horak had 25.
