The Class Of 2022 in Michigan is loaded with elite talent. The class appears to have depth as well, with many players receiving nominations. The talent in the group spreads to all areas of the state and all sizes of schools. There were 4 players who were nominated the most, and voted on for Michigan Grassroots Player Of The Year for incoming freshmen.
The players nominated were Emoni Bates, Javaughn Hannah, Ty Rodgers, and Alex Watters.

The Players
Emoni Bates (F, Bates Fundamentals, Ypsilanti-Lincoln High School)
Bates is special. He’s a unique talent and the sky is the limit. Bates is widely considered the top 2022 prospect in the nation. He is supremely athletic, has incredible body control, and has a knack for getting to the rim.
Ty Rodgers (F, The Family, Grand Blanc High School)
Rodgers has superstar talent. He is smooth and athletic, making tough plays look easy. Rodgers is an elite prospect on a national level. He has a poised game and is always a threat to score. Rodgers is a multidimensional player who always finds a way to influence a game.
Alex Watters (G, DV45, Lansing Catholic)
Watters is one of the top incoming freshman in Michigan. He has a well rounded game and is a tough kid. Watters is an excellent scorer and is dangerous with the ball in his hands.
Javaughn Hannah (G, Bates Fundamentals, Mount Clemens High School)
Hannah is a talented guard that all fans and coaches will want to see. He’s athletic and tough. Hannah is ready for a physical high school basketball game.
