2019 : Players on the Move
This year seems like transfers are at a all-time high in the Palmetto State. Prep Hoops looks at which players from 2019 class will have new homes this season.
Rodney Howard – Centennial HS (Roswell, GA) to Legacy Early College
Howard 6’9 has committed to play at Ole Miss next season. Howard comes in at #5 in the 2019 class. Howard played with Atlanta Celtics this past Grassroots season.
Jalyn McCreary – Kennesaw Mountain HS (Kennesaw) to Legacy Early College
McCreary 6’7 left-handed combo forward comes over to the Lions and Head Coach BJ Jackson this season.
Ta’Lon Cooper – Word of God (Raleigh, NC) to Dorman HS (pictured on front)
Cooper comes back to Spartanburg after playing last season for the Holy Rams. Cooper has strong interest already from Morehead State, UNC-Asheville and Radford just to name a few. Cooper checks in at #13 in the Prep Hoops 2019 class.
Dearon Tucker – Universal Academy (Irving, TX) to Legacy Early College
Tucker 6’10 comes in at #21 in the Prep Hoops 2019 class. Tucker ran the Grassroots season with Houston Hoops.
Darius Boatwright – Dillon HS to Wilson HS (Florence)
Boatwright comes down the road to play for the Tigers. Boatwright 6’7 small forward prefers to play on the perimeter. Boatwright will be a fine addition to Head coach Derrick McQueen team.
Kamal Desor – Boiling Springs HS to Dorman HS
Desor is back with the Cavaliers after a few years at nearby Boiling Springs HS. Desor 6’5 small forward also really excels on the football field as a wide receiver.
Nazir Andino – Crestwood HS (Dalzell) to Lakewood HS (Sumter)
Andino will play more on the ball this season for the Gators. Andino will be a fine addition with Juwan Perdue and Quentin Hodge already on the roster for the Gators. Andino is at his 3rd school in 4 years this fall.
Cameron Fordham – Goose Creek HS to Berkeley (Moncks Corner)
Fordham will look to lead the Stags this from the point guard with the graduation of Ephraim Bulter. Fordham has plenty around him with Ishan White and Trevur Smalls.
