2019 : Impact Senior Transfers
Prep Hoops takes a look at players in the SCHSL who could be impact senior transfers this coming season.
Darius Boatwright – Wilson HS (Florence)
Boatwright 6’7 attended nearby Dillon HS last year. Boatwright really likes to play out on the perimeter and shoot three pointers. Boatwright has great length on the floor. Boatwright will be a nice compliment to Allen Williamson, Maine and Ziohn Brown on the Tigers roster.
Jalen Williams – Ashley Ridge HS (Summerville)
Williams a point guard just recently enrolled back in the Palmetto State. Williams had been attending school at Our Savior New American in Centereach, NY. Williams started off at Pinewood Prep as a 8th grader. Prep Hoops saw Williams back in March 2018 playing with the Pioneers at the USA National Prep Championships in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Williams will be in the new Prep Hoops 2019 Class Rankings in December. Williams gets to join forces with buddy Jamal Edmonson (Francis Marion commit).
Ny’gel Boozer – Ridgeland-Hardeeville HS (pictured on front)
Boozer is back in the Lowcountry after playing the past few seasons at Airport HS. Boozer a guard adds a great piece to the Butler Brothers (Rashamel and Devin) for the Jaguars. Boozer brings a edge and toughness to the floor with his play.
Jevon Griffin – Socastee HS
Griffin recently made the move down from North Myrtle Beach HS. Griffin will join a very senior dominated team in Kassius “Jay” Williams, Jonathan Wright and Marcus Moore. Griffin 6’3 left-handed shooting guard adds more shooting on the perimeter for the Braves.
Ta’Lon Cooper – Dorman HS
Cooper is back home in Sparkle City after playing last season at Word of God (NC). Cooper committed back earlier this spring to Morehead State of the Ohio Valley Conference. Cooper will be a great addition to the already talented and defending back to back Class 5-A State Champions Cavaliers.
