1 on 1: DaRon Holmes
DaRon Holmes is a 6’8 185 lbs. freshman from Millennium. Holmes usually plays PF but has the versatility and ball handling to play virtually any position. DaRon has a ton of potential and was even listed on my Top 5 Players to Watch in the 2018-2019 Season (Class of 2021).
- You’ve gotten a lot of attention this summer. How does a 15 year old deal with that attention/pressure?
A 15 year old deals with that attention and pressure by always staying humble and being an amazing person off the court to everyone.
- What would you say is your biggest strength on the court?
I’m best at getting open and being able to sprint up and down the court.
- What do you want to improve on?
I want to improve on finding better ways to get by my man and creating an open shots.
- How far do you think basketball with take you?
I think basketball will take me to the end of my life. I don’t think that I will ever stop playing basketball even if it’s not professional.
- Why basketball? Why do you have a love and passion for this game?
I love the competition in basketball and finding out there’s multiple ways to get better.

- How did your first year of high school go? GPA?
My first year of high school went well and every year is going to get tougher from now on. My GPA is 3.3
- What are your personal and team expectations for this school year?
My personal goal is to win the state title this year for my school team. For me I want to do the best I can!

My hoop dream is to be able to make my name big across the country!
