2020 Top Prospects : Coastal Carolina Team Camp
Prep Hoops has been out all week long taking in the action from various camps throughout the Palmetto State. Today was nice to stay on the Grand Strand and drive up to Conway, SC and attend the Coastal Carolina Team Camp. Lets take a look at some of the top performers in the 2020 Palmetto State Class.
Emorie Knox – Myrtle Beach HS
Knox just keeps getting better and better each outing he plays. Knox a jet quick point guard from end to end on the floor is a energizer bunny that never seems to run out of gas. Knox really is a very solid on the ball the defender and has seemed to grown a bit over the past year height wise. Knox plays with Upward Stars Southeast 2020 on the AAU circuit.
Traveon Davis – Clarendon Hall (Summerton)
Davis will be playing at Clarendon Hall after attending Lake Marion HS (Santee) the past 2 seasons. Davis is extremely athletic wing player who has deep range shooting ability. Davis should look to have a banner season for the SCISA 1-A program.
Chase Cannon – Porter Gaud (Charleston) (pictured on front)
Cannon 6’7 has seemed to filled out his body a little bit heading into his junior season. Cannon a left-handed forward runs the floor very well and has the ability to finish around the cup. Cannon used a few nice jump-hooks to score the ball in the paint.
Cannon should receive plenty of playing time this season with the departure of Jake Lanford (Yale). Cannon plays up a age group and runs with TMP 17U. Cannon started off his career at Wando HS.
Zyan Gilmore – Clarendon Hall (Summerton)
Gilmore plays with ice in veins at times for the Saints. Gilmore led the Palmetto State in scoring last season at 28.4 ppg. Gilmore never seems to take plays off while on the floor. Gilmore 5’10 is a GAMER on the floor even though a small guard – Gilmore plays with a big heart. Gilmore loves to have the ball in his hands whenever possible and is a gym rat.
Shakarian Nelson – Goose Creek HS
Nelson is a very versatile player on the floor for the Gators. Nelson defends on the perimeter really well and tends to swarm the ball.
Jalen Coit – Cheraw HS
Coit a left-handed guard can really score the ball whenever he wants to while on the floor. Coit has already amassed over 1,050 career points for the Braves recently picked up a football scholarship offer from Purdue University. Coit ranks #10 in the 2020 Prep Hoops Palmetto State Class.
** Knox, Davis and Coit all play with Upward Stars Southeast 2020 on the AAU circuit. Upward Stars Southeast 2020 is coached by Ryan Norris.
