OUTLOOK: This is an underrated group as Junction City 2019 guard AJ Dickerson is quickly rising up the Prep Hoops boards. He brings terrific size and athleticism to the court and is a shot creator and shot maker who can play either guard spot. Levi Braun can also play either guard spot and is coming off a solid season with Hayden, a team that won a Class 4A state championship last season. He is a solid ballhandler who can run the point, or play off the ball where he is a terrific outside shooter.
Trey Duffey is a skilled 6’5 post player with a versatile skill set and terrific footwork. Seaman leaned on him this past season for production and he helped lead his squad to the Class 5A state championships in Topeka. Dyelan Reed and Mason Griffin are small school products with big games and a scorer’s mentality. Griffin has terrific form and balance on his perimeter shot, can handle the ball and is capable of creating his own shots off the bounce.
Braeden Belt is among the state’s most overlooked players, capable of getting buckets in bunches and he has the ability to score at all three levels. He is definitely a player to watch this offseason.
Weashburn Rural products Amahn Downing and Savian Edwards bring toughness and on-the-ball pressure in the backcourt. Downing is a solid point guard who can create off the bounce and Edwards is a tough, no-nonsense competitor.
