SCISA State Tourney – Sumter, SC
Prep Hoops took in the 1st round action from Sumter, SC on Saturday at the SCISA State Championships. Prep Hoops took in the games at the Sumter Civic Center and at Wilson Hall. The event will conclude this Saturday here at Sumter Civic Center with 3 championship games in Divisions 1,2 and 3.

Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach 51 Spartanburg Christian Academy 31
The Saints were tied after the 1st quarter at 11-11. The Saints went on 7-0 run to take the lead to 18-11 at the 5:58 mark of the 2nd quarter and never looked back.
Mike Green (2019) came off the bench with 12 points and 8 assists today. Davis Guyton (2019) added 9 points and Samuel Woods (2018) added 8 points. Senior Robert Guyton and Freshman Lawton Fulford both scored 6 points.
Christian Kincaid (2018) finished his career with 19 points in the loss for the Warriors. Kincaid finished with 1,293 points in his career. Kincaid averaged 21.5 ppg this season. The Warriors finished the season at 9-19.
The King’s Academy 66 Northside Christian (Lexington, SC) 65
The Lions won the game on the foul line with no time on the clock in overtime. Tyrek Epps (2018) has been there all year for the Lions and he buried his 1 of 2 free throws to clinch the victory for the Lions. Epps finished the game with 26 points. The Lions 16-8 now get to play Spartanburg Day and Zion Williamson on Tuesday.
Trinity Byrnes 86 John Paul II 35 (Ridgeland)
The Titans had little trouble with the Golden Warriors from Ridgeland. Jordan Jones (2020) led the way for the Titans with 21 points. CJ Miles (2018) added 18 points, LaSauhn McFadden (2018) 16 points and Terance Mack (2018) 10 points.
Rashad Battiste led John Paul II with 16 points and Amere Cherry (2021) added 9 points.
South Aiken Baptist Christian 67 Conway Christian 64
The Crusdaers pulled away at the end with the strong play of Logan Johnson (2018) with 21 points and Caleb Leverette (2019) added 18 points. Leverette came into the game averaging 28.3 ppg this season.
Conway Christian was led by freshman Caninon Norris with 24 points. Norris has looked like he has grown a few inches since we saw him back in November 2017.
Laurence Manning Academy 71 Northwood Academy 53
The Swampcats moved into the Class AAA SCISA Quarterfinals on Wednesday. Laurence Manning Academy will now play First Baptist at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.
Jerrel Kelly scored 23 points and grabbed 20 rebounds while swatting away 7 shots. Taylor Lee (2018) added 21 points in the win.
Rick Newman led the Chargers with 15 points and Caleb Houston added 10 points.
The SCISA Tourney starts back up on Tuesday in Sumter. Prep Hoops will be in attendance covering the action.
