Palmetto State : 2021 Players
The talent pool in the Palmetto State is deep in the years to come. Several players Prep Hoops have seen this have contributed at the varsity level already. Prep Hoops doesn’t rank the freshmen class in order yet but does have 45 names in the players to watch list for the 2021 class.
This list is not in any order at all. Keep that in mind. Here are some kids to follow for the future and just about of the kids on the list for 2021.
John Butler – Christ Church (pictured on front)
Butler already 6’11 can put the ball on the floor and knockdown 3 pointers. Butler must gain weight and strength in the years to come.
Bryce McGowens – Wren HS
McGowens already has 2 scholarship offers from Mercer and Iona. Very confident shooter for the Hurricanes. Brother Trey play at Hargrave Military Academy.
Jalen Braezealle – Greenville Tech
Braezealle plays with some swag and confidence on the floor. Braezealle truly is the go to guy on this Warriors team.
Adonis Davis – Blackville-Hilda
Davis a left-handed no position on the floor is the leader of the Hawks. Davis has been on a varsity a few years already now for Head Coach Ryan Moody.
Corey Graham – Manning
Graham is a physically gifted young man that can rebound the ball on both ends of the floor.
DaVeon Thomas – Lee Central HS (Bishopville)
Thomas really sees the floor and shows a nice mid-range game for the Stallions.
Marshall Myers – Cheraw
Myers teams up with #3 (2020) Jalen Coit in the back court for the Braves. Myers is a consistent threat on the perimeter with his stroke.
Kyle Watkins – Carolina Forest HS
Watkins is a cool and savvy point guard for the Panthers. Watkins recently scored 19 points vs South Florence.
RJ Felton – North Augusta HS
Felton has been one of the top scorers all season long for the Yellow Jackets. Felton also demonstrates his talents on the football field.
Jacobi Wright – York Prep
Wright is a true floor general at the point guard spot for the Patriots.
Josiah Dow – York Prep
Dow transferred into York Prep back in December 2017. Dow a combo forward played AAU with Butler on Team United last summer.
Joshua Beadle – Cardinal Newman
Beadle a left-handed wing player gets good minutes for the Cardinals.
Zy’Aire Charles – Dillon
Charles is the future for the Wildcats at the point guard spot. Charles play with a cool demeanor
Denham Wojcik – Porter Gaud
Wojcik is the floor general for the this very talented Cyclones team. Wojcik is the son of current East Carolina University Assistant Coach Doug Wojcik.
Chase McDuffie – Gray Collegiate
McDuffie comes off the bench for the War Eagles. McDuffie is a very confident sharp shooting guard.
Cohen Gaskins – Pinewood Prep (Summerville)
Gaskins is running the show for the SCISA school. Gaskins rebounds the ball very well from the guard position.
Korey Richardson – Lower Richland HS (Hopkins)
Richardson a left-handed guard can attack the basket or shoot the perimeter jumper.
Tyler Rice – Ridge View HS
Rice is on a very talented team loaded with juniors. Rice older brother Kaiden plays at The Citadel.
TJ Sanders – Marion HS
Sanders has been very consistent all season for the Swam Foxes. Sanders 6’3 recently scored 17 points in back to back games vs Mullins and Latta.
James Lovern – TL Hanna HS (Anderson)
Lovern really sees the floor well and has the ability to penetrate and kick.
Jaquarious “JQ” Jones – Greenville HS
Jones plays inside the paint for the Red Raiders.
