Recruiting Report: Joey Saracco (2018)
Bolingbrook 6’7” 2018 post Joey Saracco has impressed with his early season play. Good frame and knows his role on the team. Rebound, play defense, and when they pass you the ball in the paint put it in. Saracco has soft hands and touch around the hoop. Efficient player with his touches. Hits short jumpers and finishes dump off passes. Area rounder snatching anything near him. Not overly athletic. Projects as a small college player.
How is it going with Bolingbrook so far?
“It is going great so far. We played some great teams in the tournament. We knew we had a chance to come here and repeat after finishing third in the state last year. We have the best guards in the state. I am excited to see what the future holds for this team. Our coaches are amazing and we have high intensity practices.”
He broke down his role on the talented Raiders team.
“I am just doing what I can for the team. Anything I can do I will do. My guards like to shoot the ball so I will crash the boards. I get the rebounds and put them back.”
He ran with SYF on the travel team circuit over the summer. Says he isn’t hearing much on the college front right now. What will he be looking for in a program?
“A team that is a family. I am a very family oriented person. I am looking to play basketball. I don’t care what level.”
