Early Season Highlights
Midway through December is as good a time as any to address the state of high school basketball in Tennessee. Instead of bemoaning the poor post defense or ill-advised perimeter shots this moment will focus on the best moments captured visually in the first month of 2017-2018.
Bright Lights, Big Moments
Tuesday, December 12th Tyler Harris did it again. The Cordova senior continues to make a claim for a higher @PrepHoopsTN ranking. Tied 56-56 the unsigned senior broke down his defender and…just watch.

Tyler Harris will enjoy many more wonderful moments in his basketball career, but this particular game-winner will never be forgotten. Harris routinely shows the bravery of a warrior. Even though University of Memphis finally realized he was worth recruiting after Alex Lomax appeared unattainable Tyler Harris is a proven lead guard in his own right.
He deserves a MM+-HM program that truly understands his value and wants him. University of Memphis might be the school he wants, but the current coaching staff didn’t show the appropriate love early. It will be interesting to see how Tubby Smith and staff rectify their early omission, or if they do.
Sophomore Andrew Williams keeps bringing joy to East Hamilton high fans. The lanky forward projects as a high-major forward.

No junior proved more in Central Tennessee in November/December than Franklin’s Reese Glover.
Cahlib Edwards helped his Chattanooga Arts & Sciences win November 16th at Grace Baptist Academy. The sophomore tied the game 34-34 with this shot.
On the ensuing defensive possession he ripped a steal free and made his free throw with 0.4 seconds left.
