Recruiting Report: Jalen Green (2018)
2018 Jalen Green is slowly turning heads in the North West.
The 6’7 wing is currently averaging 17 points and 8 rebounds on the season. He continues to display his smooth jump shot, with his high release. Playing at his own pace, he’s able to create separation and get shots off at a high level.
“This past off season I focused on recovering from my knee injury. Getting my strength back to form and really developing my game” said Green.
After growing two inches this past summer, Green seems to still be growing. Making it that much tougher to defend him on the perimeter. He can shoot from about anywhere on the floor and is showing improvement with his ball handling. He’s able to post up and display good footwork, with strong athletic finishes at the rim.
Green is currently ranked 9th on the Prep Hoops Washington 2018 rankings, but is slowly climbing the charts. He’s receiving interest from Boise State, Washington State, Seattle University, and Montana.
“I plan on being a better leader this season. Helping my team win games and try to get us to the state tournament.”
Lindbergh is an early favorite for 2A and Green is ready to lead them to a 2A state tournament appearance. He has a good supporting cast this season and will be playing alongside senior point guard Kelton Williams and 2018 Hazen transfer Xavier Dumas. Look out for Green and the Eagles as they make a run for the 2A state championship this season.
