Recruiting Report: Dawson Landers (2019)
Class of 2019 point guard Dawson Landers of Capital high school is usually the most headiest player on the court, but has the heart the size of a mountain.
The 5’10 guard plays with a big chip on his shoulder, which enables him to come up with big performances in big games. He is a tough-minded young man who loves when the game is on the line.
As a sophmore, Dawson led the Cougars in scoring, assist and steals. He is a talented point guard who can facilitate and get buckets when he needs to.
Dawson was one of the top players in the 3A south sound league earning him a second-team all conference selection. He averaged 15.7 points a game along with 5 assists a game.
“It was a great feeling to lead my team. We have so many guys who bring many skill sets to our team and I was very happy with how we were able to put it all together.”Dawson said. “During the middle of the season, is where we put together a really good run and I think that’s when we played our best basketball.”
Dawson has received some interest from JUCO level skills as a sophomore. I do feel that by the time he becomes a senior who should start to receive some letters from D3-NAIA LEVEL programs.
