Prospect Watch: Kuok Chuol (2018)
Five-foot-10 guard Kuok Chol of St. Cloud Tech is excited about the upcoming winter after having sat out his junior campaign.
“Junior year I transferred from Apollo to Tech so I couldn’t play,” Chol said. “I spent a lot of time in the weight room and in the gym working on my handle and three pointer this off-season. This spring and summer I played with Comets Thuok,”
Tech has high expectations this winter and Chol hopes to help the program accomplish their goals.
“There are five seniors that graduated last year so pretty much the whole program is returning,” Kuok said. “Everyone should expect a good team defensively and physical offensively and play an up and down fast break team.
“Hopefully I can get a chance to show my what I can do for Tech. Goals for our team is win the conference, and make a good run in sections and see what happens from there.”
Schools aren’t to familiar with Kuok yet because he had to sit out as a junior but he’s hoping to impress this winter.
“I haven’t been contacted from any schools, and I haven’t planned any visits as of now but hopefully I can get a chance to play college basketball that would be a good experience.”
What is Kuok working on to get to that level? He told Prep Hoops today.
“I try to improve everything in my game but the main thing I’m working on is getting stronger to be able to play this winter.”
