Prospect Spotlight: Bo Burns (2018)
I recently had the opportunity to speak with North City Combo guard Bo Burns. Who has still undecided on where he will continue his education and athletic career. Bo took some time to let me know about recruitment, AAU and his plans this summer.
Coming off a good junior season with North City Basketball and Glacier Peak High School where he put up averages of 10 points and 3 rebounds and 3 assist. Bo is looking for a big summer to help bolster his college offers. During the spring evaluation period when the above picture was taking, he was playing with North City. Bo informed that currently he has no offers and does not know of any interest just yet. With it early on in the July, viewing period that could change quickly.
I asked Bo directly what he is hoping his play gets across to the coaches.
“I can run shoot the ball at a high clip, be effective on both sides of the basketball. Also I am a pass first point guard who can get others involved.”
“I see my name and where I’m ranked against others in my class and I know that I can do better. Some aspects of my game I want to improve on is getting to the rim strong and finishing with both hands. I’ve been doing a lot of that this summer.”
His recruitment is at a standstill right now with just a couple of known JUCO programs that have mentioned his name as one of the better shooters in his class. He is still working on his game as we speak and hopes that some schools will take notice of him this summer. North City is a great program and has had quite a few successful ball players go to the next level.
Bo was unranked this year but feels that should change a little bit this summer. Keep an eye out for Bo. I think there are some good NAIA schools that you can use a knock down shooter and defender on their roster.
