Palmetto State : Stock Risers (2019)
The 2019 Palmetto State Class is quite solid from top to bottom with talent. Prep Hoops SC takes a look at 5 players that have seen there stock rise early on this season.
David Muncy (2019) – Shannon Forest (Greenville)
Muncy is a tough kid that will really surprise you with his deceptive athleticism. Muncy plays in the same region with Spartanburg Day and Zion Williamson. Muncy plays with a bit of swagger and confidence from the guard position.
Shane McCravy (2019) – Oceanside Collegiate Academy
McCravy has the Landsharks off to a hot start this season at 3-1 under Head Coach Jermel President. McCravy a slender sleek wing player can rebound the ball on both ends of the floor and can score the ball at all 3 levels on the floor.
Romello Grant (2019) – Stall HS
Grant stands just 6’2 on a good day but plays like a animal inside. Grant scores all of his points on layups and put-backs on the glass. Grant recently hit 31 points vs Burke HS. Grant lacks a true position but for sure takes the definition of “WARRIOR”
Khalil Stringer (2019) – Broome HS (Spartanburg) (pictured on the front)
Stringer a combo guard really can score the ball for the Centurions. Stringer does at times look to force some shots on the floor but, for sure is the go-to guy for the Centurions when they need a basket. Stringer 5’11 scored 25 points and connected on 5 three pointers in a recent victory over Spartanburg Christian Academy.
Kassius “Jay” Williams (2019) – Socastee HS
Williams is a quite confident guard who excels on going to the rack. Williams bit of a journey man since the 8th grade played last season in New York State. Williams left-handed likes to chat it up at times and tends to back it up on the floor. Williams had 16 points the other night for the Braves in a tough loss to rival Myrtle Beach HS.
