Downriver: Players To See In 2017-2018
In recent years there has a been a talent surge in the downriver area of Michigan. There are solid players at many different downriver schools and a wide variety of skill sets as well. I’ll give you a list of some of the talented players to watch in 2017-2018.
Dominick Riley (2018, G, Annapolis): He’s a good all around athlete with nice size and versatility.
Camron Johnson (2018, SF, Annapolis): A smooth player who can create space for a solid mid range game.
Bryce Armstrong (2018, PG, Wyandotte): He’s a leader who’s great with the ball in his hands. He can finish at the bucket and find open teammates.
Jayvien Torrance (2018, PG, River Rouge): Good ball handler who can create his own shot. He’s got an exceptional mid range game.
Khalid Fleming (2019, PG, Lincoln Park): The River Rouge transfer is shifty guard that makes everyone around him better.
Damian Clayton (2019, G, Lincoln Park): He’s a sleeper but has the skills needed to have a breakout season.
Chris Dobessi (2019, G, Wyandotte): The Kennedy HS transfer will sit the first half of the year, but will be a game changer when he returns. He’s a guard who can flat out score.
Josh Warren (2019, G, Woodhaven): He is a prospect who has shot up the rankings. He’s an athlete with a college ready build.
