The Basketball Interview with Jaron Zwagerman
Sioux Falls O’Gorman has a championship to defend this year by several pieces graduated. One that returns is forward Jaron Zwagerman.
At your school, what is your favorite part or parts about game days in terms of the routine leading up to the game?
JZ: My favorite part of game days would have to be being with my teammates getting warmed up before the game
What makes your crowd unique? What is a memorable thing that they’ve done that you will always remember?
JZ: What makes our crowd unique is their commitment to being at every game and cheering us on no matter the circumstances
Who is the toughest player that you have faced in your career?
JZ: The toughest player I’ve faced would have to be Trevon Duval because of his amazing athletic ability.
Who is your biggest rival and what about them makes the rivalry both heated and memorable?
JZ: Our biggest rival would probably have to be Roosevelt because we are always competitive with them and have a history with them
Who is your favorite basketball player in the world and why?
JZ: My favorite basketball player would have to be Karl Anthony Towns because he I admire his playing style
All basketball players love gear. What brand of gear or type of gear are you partial to?
JZ: My favorite brand of basketball gear would have to be Nike although Big Baller Brand is a close second
What is your favorite venue to play basketball in that you’ve played in?
JZ: My favorite arena to play in would have to be Watertown’s arena because of its size and the fact that their crowd is always rowdy.
What court that you haven’t played on would you dream of playing on?
JZ: I would love to play in Cameron Indoor Stadium at duke one day.
Explain the relationship varsity players have at your school with youth players?
JZ: The varsity players at our school act as good role models for the younger players. I would even say sometimes that the younger kids learn more from our actions than from what we actually say to them.
Best coaching advice you’ve received is what and who was it from?
JZ: The best coaching advice I’ve received is to always give 100 percent no matter the circumstances from my AAU coach, Barry Jacobson.
Who is your basketball influence?
JZ: My basketball influence would have to be my dad who has coached me from a young age.
