Prospect Spotlight: Levi Nielsen(2019)
Levi Nielsen is 6’ 4” 200 pound Junior that will play a key component in the success of the Silverton in the 2017 season. Nielsen plays football and basketball. The multi sport athlete started at quarterback as a freshmen and played Varsity as a sophomore for basketball. As a sophmore Levi averaged a double/double last season and led the team with 24 points and 15 rebounds in playoff win at Marist last season. They came up just short at Churchill to advance to Gill.
Nielsen plays center for the Foxes. He runs the floor hard, can handle the ball and extended his range to shoot out to the three point line. Levi shows pride in himself in being a solid defender and relentless rebounder. “I am really excited about the season and I just want to help the team take it as far as we can!” In the offseason Levi does a lot of weight lifting and agility work. He pulled off a full-time AAU schedule until this past Spring, where he played 30 games with Team Jones. He Didn’t play AAU in summer due to basketball and football schedule conflicts.
