Warwick Workouts North Dakota Showcase
Warwick Workouts North Dakota Director, Greg Foster, hosted his 2nd annual College Prospect Camp last week in Jamestown, ND. This was an invite only camp that had a combination of some of the remaining 2018 graduates in the state plus top 2019 and 2020 players. The combination of skill sessions plus competition made for a great opportunity for kids to showcase their skills in front of college coaches. Here are some of the standouts in their respective classes…
2018 Prospects:
Kaedyn Hanson, Stanley HS – A big, strong body that can play above the rim. At 6’7” he has the ability to bang with anyone but also has great touch around the basket. A true post player that can really impact the game on the block.
Landen Foster, Rugby HS – 6’1” pass first point guard who made some plays in the competition portion. Got paint touches to create finishes at the rim or shots for others. Pretty good in pick and roll situations as well.
Anthony Vetter, Minot Bishop Ryan HS – Nice frame and decent length as a 6’4” wing. He had stretches where he scored at will in different competition portions.
2019 Prospects:
Trey Wiest, Mandan HS – Tough competitior with a strong body that he uses very well. At 5’10” he consistently finishes with contact and doesn’t shy away from it at all. Good skill in the open court and showed an ability to knock down an outside jumper.
Dalton Albrecht, Grafton HS – 6’5” athlete who can step out and shoot it. Good running the floor, could knock down 3PTs and rebounded very well. He will continue to get better with maturity and strength; good upside.
Mason Walters, Jamestown HS – Maybe the best overall scoring big at the camp. He has good length which he uses to go with his 6’5” frame to finish around the rim with nice hooks and counters. Shooter out to 15 ft and a good rebounder
2020 Prospects:
Boden Skunberg, Jamestown HS – Can score the ball at all levels, however really excelled at the rim driving the basketball. Good athlete at 6’4”, he displayed quickness and a jumping ability. One of the more competitive and better defenders as well. Huge upside.
Jaxton Wiest, Mandan HS – Good passing skills and resembles the mold of a true pass-first point guard standing 5’10”. Good vision and can shoot the ball well out to 3PT line, however maybe pull-up jumper is his best shot right now.
Trace Goven, Rugby HS – Very athletic build and runs the floor very well. Good mid ranges shot and showed an ability to hit a floater in the lane. If he can develop the 3PT shot more consistency, he’d be a tough guy to guard.
There were lots of other players that did a very nice job. Overall it was a competitive camp and the kids who showed up definitely proved the have some ability. Some nice college prospects for sure, and I’m sure these guys are on coaches radars.
