Recruiting Report: Tahj McGee (2018)
Some basketball players have the innate ability to be able to excel no matter what the circumstances. It doesn’t matter what team the play for, the team they’re facing, or the individual matchup they encounter. They will always find a way to contribute and have an influence on the game. Tahj McGee is this type of player. He will always find a way to excel individually and help his team.
Tahj McGee is a 6-6 senior small forward from Riverview Gabriel Richard. He is a game changer on the glass. On the offensive end he has solid post moves and is strong finisher. McGee is a big and powerful player especially when playing small forward. He can play both facing the basket and with his back to the basket. He has good feet and can guard both forwards and even an opposing center.
McGee is a humble athlete who worries more about team success than individual accolades. He’s very proud of his teams accomplishments last season and receiving an All-League Award. This season he is looking forward to his teams matchup against Wyandotte High School. Off the court Tahj McGee enjoys spending time with his family.
Tahj McGee has worked hard to prepare for a big senior season. He has worked to refine his ball handling skills. He plans to play four years of college basketball and major in business. McGee plans on being a leader both on and off the court.
McGee has received interest from Concordia-Ann Arbor, Westminster College, and Macomb College. Look for his recruitment to pick up as the season plays along, possibly as high as Division 2 offers. He is a wing with great size, can play inside and out, and is a walking double-double. A combination of size and skills should make Tahj McGee highly sought after.
