Prospect Spotlight: Christian Dobis (2021)
Basketball players take a lot of pride in the team or school on the front of their jersey. Christian Dobis is just a freshman at Saginaw Heritage, but already understands that as an athlete, he represents his school. “I’d like to put Heritage on the map!” He will play a critical role in the success of his team over the next four years.
Christian Dobis is a 6-2 forward with a solid skill set. He has nice size and knows how to use it. This is especially evident in isolation sets. Dobis’ ball handling skills are essentially what drives his game. A large amount of his training this spring and summer was spent working one on one with a ball handling trainer. Dobis also attended basketball camps such as John Lucas, PrepHoops, and Let’s Get Ready. These camps helped him to refine his skills and start to expand his game.
Christian Dobis is ready for basketball season to begin. He is looking forward to squaring off against Saginaw High and Arthur Hill. “My main goal is to average is double-double ,” said Dobis. He hopes to eventually earn a scholarship and play Division 1 college basketball. Off the court, Dobis looks forward to becoming a sports commentator.
Christian Dobis is just about to embark on his high school basketball career. With his parents in his corner supporting him, that career will certainly be a success. He’s an honor roll student, a hard working young man, and a skilled basketball player. Those three things make Christian Dobis a player to watch in Michigan over the next four years.
