Prospect Spotlight: Bryce Armstrong (2018)
Dynamic point guards who can score and create shots for teammates off the pick and roll are on most college coaches wishlist. Bryce Armstrong is this type of point guard. The 6-1 Wyandotte Roosevelt senior has made noise this summer and is preparing for a big senior season.
Bryce Armstrong is a natural off the pick and roll. He uses it effectively to create open looks at the basket. He also has the ability to create shots for himself. He’s quick and active with the ball, rarely wasting a dribble. Armstrong is working on exploding to the basket in order to add another element to his already dangerous skill set
Bryce Armstrong has had an exciting high school basketball career, highlighted by big games and drastic improvement. The highlight may have been his 33 point outburst against Southgate. Armstrong looks forward to playing against Ann Arbor Pioneer, in what would be a classic matchup between himself and Drew Lowder.
Bryce Armstrong spent his spring and summer in the gym fine tuning his game. He played with the Downriver Badboyz, and made a statement about who he is as a player. He has big goals for the coming season. “For me I want to raise my stats a little and average 22 plus points along with 5 plus assists and 5 plus rebounds. As for my team, I would like to make it to the regional championship and possibly quarterfinal, but we have a lot of work to do if we want to achieve that,” said Armstrong.
Bryce Armstrong has realistic aspirations of playing basketball at the next level. He recently picked up his first offer, coming from Iowa Central. As next season approaches and plays out, expect that list of schools to grow significantly.
