Palmetto State : Region 3-AAAA Players to Watch
Region 3-AAAA this season will be led by the Ridge View Blazers in our mind here at Prep Hoops. Lets take a look at some of this talent in the region right here. The region is loaded with good underclassmen.
BJ Davis (2018) – South Pointe HS
Davis is a big-time football prospect and dabbles with basketball at times. Davis is a brute in the paint and loves to play with contact. South Pointe is coached by former South Carolina Gamecock Melvin Watson.
Malcolm Kennedy (2018) – York Comprehensive HS (York)
Kennedy is a sharp shooting sniper on the floor. Kennedy played this summer with Upward Stars – York County. Kennedy is a catch-shooter player with a quick shot release.
Malcolm Wilson (2019) – Ridge View HS
Wilson is the best player in the region and already has received offers from South Carolina, Clemson and Virginia Commonwealth. Wilson 6’11 center runs the floor like a deer and alters shots on the defensive end.
Walyn Napper (2019) – Ridge View HS
Napper is a strong driver to the rack. Napper plays football for the Blazers as wide receiver. Napper can extend the defense with his 3 point shooting and thrives when he is challenged on the floor.
Crosby James (2019) – Ridge View HS
James will look to run the show here for the Blazers this season after a strong summer on the AAU circuit. James can score the ball and has the ability to create his own shot.
Russell Jones (2019) – Westwood HS (pictured on front)
Jones is a water-bug point guard that creates constant havoc on the defensive end of the floor. Jones disrupts guards and keeps them uncomfortable which causes a lot of turnovers. Jones and Napper played together on Team South Carolina.
Omazeon Tinsley (2021) – Lancaster HS
Tinsley a freshman should see playing immediately for the Bruins this season. Tinsley 5’4 tiny point guard played this summer with Team United.
Prep Hoops will take a look at more players in the future from Region 3-AAAA.
