Overall Prospect Rankings: #26 – #30
In September we released our rankings for the classes of 2018 and 2019. What if you took those classes along with 2020 and did an overall ranking regardless of class? This is what they would look like!
Today we unveil prospects #26 – #30!
#26 C Jalen Shaw (Larkin – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Shaw is a legit sized big man at 6’10” with great length. Rim protector and solid rebounder. Flashes skill on the offensive end finishing with dunks and can surprise opponents with a mid-range jumper. Great running the floor.
#27 C Ryan Davis (Conant – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Davis is a big man that stretches the floor. He is a pick and pop five that is a plus screener and can drill shots from well beyond the arc. Soft touch on his shot from deep. Carves out space on the block for scores and has improved as a rebounder.
#28 PF Tamell Pearson (Morgan Park – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Pearson is an athletic and broad shouldered four man that hits the glass and brings toughness on the interior. His assertiveness and offensive game made strides this spring and summer which helped him pick up a lot of scholarship offers.
#29 PG Joseph Yesufu (Bolingbrook – 2019)
Last Year’s Rank: #46
Yesufu is a smaller point guard, but this kid has speed to burn! Pushes it from end to end about as well as anyone in the state. Weaves in and out of defenders and despite his size he likes finishing through the trees at the rim. Good passer and great on ball defender that has a knack for getting steals.
#30 SG Zion Young (Simeon – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Young transferred back to the Midwest after playing his junior year in Utah. The strong and explosive wing has some of the best physical tools of any wing player in the state. Born scorer that loves to shoot the deep three and throw it down on his opponent with monster slams.
