Mr. Basketball: A Look Ahead
With the depth of talent in Michigan’s 2018 class, the race for Mr. Basketball should be fun to watch. Here is a quick look at five players who I believe should be on everyone’s watch list for this seasons Mr. Basketball.
Brandon Johns (East Lansing)
PC: Al Goldis (Lansing State Journal)The University of Michigan commmit may be the most obvious choice. He has the size and skill to dominate the state this season.
Trevion Williams (Henry Ford Academy SCS)
This young man is a walking double-double. The Purdue commit can be counted on to fill the stat sheet at a Mr. Basketball level.
Foster Loyer (Clarkston)
The MSU commit is a leader through and through. He is the driving force on a state championship contender. To me, that screams Mr. Basketball.
Brandon Wade (Skyline)
He is a driving force behind what could be a Golden Age in Ann Arbor area basketball. The Duquesne commit is explosive in Mr. Basketball type fashion.
Rashad Williams (Wayne Memorial)
He keeps getting better at a drastic rate. The Cleveland State commit might be the best shooter in Michigan, something prototypical of someone named Mr. Basketball.
