Moravian Prep – South Carolina Ties
Prep Hoops SC and Swanny’s Roundball Review took in the action yesterday at the Flight 22 Prep Showcase in Greensboro, NC. The event featured several prep and high school programs from the Carolina’s. Lets take a look at some former South Carolina high school players playing at Moravian Prep this season on prep circuit.
Darius Bryant and Michael Wright both play on the Moravian Prep Blue team this fall. Moravian Prep is located in Hickory, NC and are coached by Jeremy Ellis.
Bryant a former All-State guard selection from Lexington HS scored over 1,500 career points in high school. Bryant a undersized scoring guard is fully qualified academically according to Ellis. Bryant 5’10 can run off some long range shooting in a hurry.
Bryant played last spring with the South Carolina Hornets on the AAU circuit.
Wright played his high school basketball at Pinewood Prep in Summerville. Wright 6’6 small forward has really defined his body and frame over the past year. Wright has a great 15-17 feet game and really likes to shoot the ball from the elbow.
Wright has received strong interest from the University of North Carolina-Pembroke (NCAA D2) according to Ellis. Wright ran AAU with Palmetto Elite.
Tajah Fraley played last season at now defunct 22Ft Academy in the Upstate. Fraley 6’4 small forward is a left-handed wing with a great wingspan. Fraley plays the passing lanes extremely well. Fraley who is deaf played this summer with the Karolina Khaos on the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit.
Tulane, Winthrop, Radford, Utah State and Loyola Marymount are all showing interest in Fraley according to Ellis.
Moravian Prep will be playing later this month on Saturday October 28, 2017 in the 3rd Annual Swanny’s Jamboree in Myrtle Beach. The event will feature 32 teams and will be played at the Myrtle Beach Sports Center which has 8 courts.
