Prospect Spotlight: Jordan Meyer (2018)
Class of 2018, 6’1, point guard Jordan Meyer of Kamiak High School is receiving some D3 interest and should start to raise his stock during this season.
Jordan is one of the most underrated guards in the state of Washington. He is long, athletic and has the ability to handle the ball against small guards. In some of his more recent tournament play he has shown that he can also knock down tough shots in tough situations. With an increasing skill-set and a great coaching staff at his disposal he will continue to build on his abilities.
He has a quick release, which in conjunction with his height and length he can virtually shoot over anybody. He is a hardnosed defender who can play multiple positions at a high level. His handle has improved since last year, which will help him at the next level. Getting his shot off was never an issue neither was showing up in big game and taking the big shot
I got a chance to ask this young baller a few questions about his game and what college interest he is receiving. Here is what he had to say.
“The biggest part of my game is attacking the rim, step back jumpers, and being physical, catching and shooting, dribbling, quicker on defense. At kamiak this season we are looking to grab the Wesco 4a title and place high in state. I currently have some division 3 interest but am still keeping my options open and hope to see some more interest come through the door.”
