Program MVP: Charlie Hoehne
Who was the MVP of each grassroots team program this past spring and summer? This might not necessarily be the best player although in many cases it is. We are looking at the player from Illinois that elevated their game and stepped up when it mattered most taking both themselves and their teams to the next level.
We are huge fans of a pair of players on the Made Men 16U team in OPRF duo guard Dashon Enoch and power forward Charlie Hoehne. It was an extremely close call between these two for MVP of the entire program. We gave the slight edge to Hoehne. He flies a bit under the radar, but this OPRF four man needs to be on the radar of low-major programs in 2019. He is a skilled post that is efficient with his touches on the block. We saw him consistently finish around the hoop with a soft touch as well as above the rim with dunks during July. Runs the floor great! Can handle it some facing up. We came away impressed with him at multiple events during the July live periods and he was a stock riser in that class.
Congratulations to OPRF power forward Charlie Hoehne on winning the PrepHoopsIllinois Program MVP for Made Men.
