Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo: Class of 2018 Prospects to Watch
Prep Hoops will be making an appearance in Baltimore this Saturday! At noon inside McDonogh’s gym, players from around the area will get together to participate in the Top 250 Expo. It’ll be Baltimore’s first chance to show Prep Hoops just how great the basketball talent is.
As the day looms closer, we’ll take a look at some of the prospects in the class of 2018 that coaches should keep their eye on.
Josh Mack | St. Maria Goretti | 2018
Mack will be one of the top guards in attendance this Saturday. Mack, a 6’1 point guard, gets after it on both ends and shines when he can display his speed in transition. He does all of the things you need in a point guard such as defend, making plays in the open floor, facilitate in the halfcourt and capitalize on three-point opportunities. Mack holds offers from Wheeling Jesuit, Shepard and Georgian Court.

Gates Cook | Dundalk | 2018
Cook is an under-the-radar prospect that should be able to catch eyes at the Expo. The 6’3 shooting guard can feel it up from three and has improved in his ability to create plays off the dribble. He is good at finding the open spots in mid-transition and shows a lot of effort in crashing the glass defensively. Cook doesn’t hold any offers but has gained interest from a few DIII programs.
Dwight Felton | Mt. Carmel | 2018
Felton will be another intriguing prospect attending the Expo. The skilled 6-foot point guard can impact the game in many ways. He has a good feel for how to control the tempo and how to get his teammates involved while also getting himself some tallies in the scoring category. He’ll be expected to run the show for a strong Mt. Carmel Cougars team this season, but Felton hopes to gain some college exposure from this event before the season kicks off.
Will Miller | Mt. Carmel | 2018
Felton’s teammate, Will Miller, will be one of the best shooters that attends the Expo. At 6’1, Miller is undersized to play the two-spot in most cases, but his ability to shoot it from outside brings value to any team. Miller can also make defenders pay off of uncontrolled close outs and finish with a one or two-dribble pull up jumper. Miller has interest from a couple of DIII programs.
Bobby Miller | Paint Branch | 2018
Miller will be one of the most athletic prospect to attend. The 6’2 lefty is another under-the-radar prospect, but it won’t take long for coaches in the gym to acknowledge his ability to play above the rim. Along with post dunks, Miller can shoot from three pretty efficiently. Getting out and running the lanes on fast breaks is another area where Miller’s abilities shine. Miller holds an offer from St. Thomas Aquinas (DII) and interest from a number of DIII programs.
