Prep Hoops Missouri Top 250 Expo: Class of 2019 Wings
Here is a look at some of the top Class of 2019 shooting guards and wings from last weekend’s Prep Hoops Missouri Top 250 Expo in St. Louis:
Hayden Thomas 6’2″ Twin Rivers: A talented all-around guard with a good set of fundamentals and a skill set to match. He handles the ball well and knows how to create space for himself on the dribble. He uses the ball fake very effectively to create offense and he has 3-point range to boot.
Ray Adams 6’3″ Webster Groves: One of the top 3-point shooters in the Expo, Adams has continued to add more facets to his game to make him a more effective offensive weapon. As well as his long range shooting, Adams can get to the basket off the dribble and can move without the basketball. He also showcased his improved athleticism with some nice dunks.
Johnny Walker 6’0″ New Madrid Central: An excellent athlete who was one of the most explosive players at the event. He is a strong and slashing wing player who can attack the basket off the dribble and finish at the rim. He is also a very good player in the transition game where he can throw down his dunks.
Xander Martin 6’2″ Poplar Bluff: A solid all-around guard with good size and the ability to pass the ball and shoot from 3-point range. He moves well without the ball and gets to the open spots on the floor.
Jordan Holmes 6’1″ Ritenour: A thick-bodied wing player who can really shoot the basketball from 3-point range. He uses his strength to his advantage to keep defenders away from the dribble. He is a physical kid who possesses a very nice touch from distance.
Blake Busateri 6’3″ Timberland: A very active wing player who plays with a high motor and good athleticism. He has a versatile skill set and knock down shooting range from beyond the 3-point line. He was very good at making transition 3-pointers off the catch. Very impressive.
