Palmetto State : Region 7-AAA Players to Watch
Last week we covered the Prep Hoops 250 Expo in Myrtle Beach, SC. It’s that time of the year to get back into some Region previews throughout the Palmetto State. Lets take a look at Region 7-AAA
Leo Albano (2018) – Bishop England (Daniel Island)
Albano recently became the all-time leader in rushing yards and most touchdowns scored for the Bishops. Albano plays quarterback for Bishop England and small forward on the hardwood. Albano has rushed for over 3,250 yards in his career.
Aidan McCool (2020) – Bishop England (Daniel Island)
McCool played with Upward Stars Southeast 2020 this past summer. McCool a deceptive athlete is a shot maker from behind the arc. McCool should be a nice contributor this season for the Bishops. McCool has a quick shot release and good feel for the game.
Traveon Davis (2020) – Lake Marion HS (Santee)
Davis is looking for a breakout season after averaging 4 ppg last season for the Gators. Davis 6’4 played this past summer with the Upward Stars Southeast 2020 squad.
Shane McCravy (2019) – Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mount Pleasant)
McCravy started off his career at Porter Gaud as a freshman before coming to Oceanside Collegiate Academy last season. McCravy played AAU with the Southern Stampede this summer. McCravy 6’4 has great length and is always active around the ball. McCravy has a nice mid-range game.
Isaiah Archie (2019) – Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mount Pleasant) (pictured on front)
Archie the younger brother of Greg Archie will look to lead the Landsharks this season. Archie is a play-making guard who can knockdown shots on the offensive end. Archie has good quicks from end to end and is crafty with the ball.
The Landsharks are coached by former College of Charleston player Jermel President. President played at CofC from 1995-1999 and scored 1,175 career points.
Corey Graham (2021) – Manning HS
Graham is the new kid on the block for the Monarchs. Graham is physically mature for his young age. Graham powers himself to the rack for baskets.
RJ Gibbs (2018) – Timberland HS (St Stephen)
Gibbs 5’9 guard is a tough kid and it shows on the floor. Gibbs a pesky defender on the ball isn’t afraid to dive on the floor for loose balls. Gibbs plays running back for the Wolves football team.
