Prep Hoops SC is hosting its 1st Top 250 Expo this coming Sunday in Myrtle Beach, SC. The event will be played at the brand new Myrtle Beach Sports Center. The action will start at Noon and go to 5:00 P.M. The event currently has over 140 players listed to play in the event.
Jay Godbolt will be the new head coach at Lowcountry Leadership this season in Hollywood, SC. Godbolt recently had been coaching a nearby Charleston Collegiate. Godbolt won a few SCISA Class A State Championships with the Sun Devils. Lowcountry Leadership is led by guard Donnell Bowens (2019).
Nate Livesay has been named the new head coach at Beaufort Academy. Livesay had previously coached at Beaufort HS and Sumter HS in the past. Livesay started at Beaufort HS back in 2015 after being at Sumter HS for 8 seasons. Livesay has a 192-87 after 11 years of coaching.
Jalen Slawson decided to end his recruitment early this fall. Slawson will head to Furman University next season. Slawson 6’7 is ranked #10 in the Prep Hoops SC 2018 class. Slawson plays at Pinewood Prep and with TMP 17.
Jaron Williams has informed Prep Hoops that he will be visiting Longwood University in the near future. Williams who plays at York Prep (Rock Hill) is ranked # in the 2018 class. Williams 6’7 combo forward checks in at #11 in the 2018 class. Williams ran with Upward Stars York County this summer.
Jerrel Kelly had Texas Tech University Head Coach Chris Beard in today at Laurence Manning Academy according to Head Coach Will Epps. Kelly 6’9 left-handed forward averaged 10.4 ppg and 6.3 rebounds last season for the Swampcats. Kelly is ranked #13 in the 2018 class this season. Kelly played with Upward Stars Southeast 2018 this past AAU season.
