Palmetto State : 2021 Names to Watch
Prep Hoops SC will unveil their new rankings all this week. First, let’s take a look at some names to watch in the 2021 class of incoming freshmen throughout the Palmetto State. This class is currently not being ranked, so these names are in no certain order.
John Butler – Christ Church (Greenville) (pictured on front)
Butler 6’11 will look to make a impact for the Cavaliers this coming season. Butler who will play for his father this season ran AAU with Team United this past summer. Butler a long-rangy post player glides down the floor and looks to alter shots on the defensive end of the floor. Butler has the ability to step-out and face-up.
Denham Wojcik – Porter Gaud
Wojcik 5’9 point guard is the son of former College of Charleston Head Coach Doug Wojcik. Wojcik has a great basketball IQ and plays with some much poise for a kid of his age. Wojcik helped the Cyclones win a 3A SCISA State Championhip last season. Wojcik played up a age group and ran with TMP 16U.
Cesare Edwards – Hartsville HS
Edwards was a pleasant surprise this summer on the AAU circuit with the Carolina Wolves and Karolina Khaos. Edwards 6’7 who can step-out on the perimeter and knockdown the jumper should see quality minutes for the Red Foxes this season.
Lawton Fulford – Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach
Fulford 6’0 shooting guard moved over to Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach this season after playing 4 seasons at North Myrtle Beach Christian. Yes that’s correct 6th, 7th and 8th grade twice after he reclassified. Fulford already with 4 years of varsity experience joins a very talented Saints squad this coming season. Fulford averaged 17.1 ppg last season while connecting on 39% (81-210) from three point range. Fulford has played in 83 career games at the SCISA level already. Fulford has 770 career points entering his freshman season.
These players are just a few guys you will see in the new names to watch for the 2021 class this season.
