DMV Elite 80 Final Notes, Player Standouts: Part 1
Daniel Allen, 5’10”, PG, 2019. McKinley Tech Trainers HS. Washington, DC.
Grassroots Team: District basketball Club
Daniel is a crafty PG who plays with a shifting style of movement. At McKinley Tech he is primarily a scoring PG, but for the District Basketball Club 16 & U this past summer he was a facilitator. He is very quick & can get inside the paint, dish or finish thru contact. Daniel has the ability to light it up from the outside and run the offense in half court sets very well. He played very well in the Prep Hoops Expo 250 this month in Owings Mills, MD & DMV Elite 80.

Grassroots Team: DC Blue Devils
In our current 2020 MD/DC player rankings Kyree is ranked @ #30 with potential to move up. We think he will become a potential D1 recruit like Isaiah & the duo will form on of the most underrated back courts in MD/ DC this season. Kyree is a high riser who can score from all 3 levels & defend. Please read our recent Recruiting Report for Kyree below:
Marcus Dockery, 6’2″, PG, 2020. Theodore Roosevelt Rough-Riders HS. Washington, DC.
Grassroots Team: DC Blue Devils
Marcus played his freshmen season at Bishop Ireton & has since transferred to play for Theodore Roosevelt HS in his native Washington, DC. He is a crafty play-maker who can score from all levels. From our 2020 Player Evaluations where Marcus checked in @ #20, “Dockery is a lefty with good size that can play both on and off the ball. He has a good middle game and can stretch the floor from deep, and he can also get his teammates involved when on the ball because he has good vision and makes good decisions. He steadily improved throughout the WCAC season and has had a good start to the summer with the DC Blue Devils, and if he continues to improve on both ends of the floor he should become a very good point guard in a league full of them.”
Deson Flood, 6’5″, W, 2018. Good Counsel Falcons HS. Olney, MD.
Grassroots Team: DC Warriors
Deson is a very athletic & explosive wing who can score from all 3 levels & defend. To date Deson holds offers from Howard, Army West point, and Navy have each offered Flood, and Toledo is expressing interest. Deson has shot up to #33 in our MD/DC rankings player list for 2018 after a very impressive summer in the DeMatha BSN Summer League & MD Elite Summer Leagues. At the DMV Elite 80 Deson was in elite condition & played very, very well. He is legitimate D1 prospect & we expect more offers to come. We will be covering Deson & Good Good Counsel HS this season with live game reports & individual player articles.
Isaiah Gross, 6’2″, WG, 2019. Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders HS. Greenbelt, MD.
Grassroots Team: District Basketball Club
Isaiah plays with a very high IQ, motor, & excels in transition basketball where he can finish at the rim with his excellent athleticism. Isaiah plays lock down defense & can protect the rim. He can score from all levels & impact he game without scoring.
Jay Heath, 6’3″, CG, 2020. Woodrow Wilson Tigers HS. Washington, DC.

Jay will be an impact player this season for the Woodrow Wilson Tigers who have the potential to be nationally ranked. We believe Jay is a D1 prospect with a great upside. He is a proven clutch player & winner. Jay can play on & or off the ball as a CG & he can score from all 3 levels. He is very tough & an excellent defender & rebounder.
